CATHEDRAL OF VALENCIA + MUSEUM
About this event
EVENT: CULTURAL VISIT TO THE CATHEDRAL OF VALENCIA & MUSEUM | Valencia Cathedral | Catedral de Valencia
Step Into History | The Metropolitan Cathedral of Valencia
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Valencia is a landmark that has evolved over centuries, standing on the site of a former Roman temple and a Moorish mosque. It is architecturally unique for its blend of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. The cathedral is globally significant as the home of the Holy Chalice, recognized as the most likely candidate for the Holy Grail. It also features stunning Renaissance frescoes of angel musicians in the Main Chapel, which were rediscovered in 2004 after being hidden for nearly 300 years.
