Explore over a century of artistic evolution in this landmark exhibition featuring 86 works by 59 of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. "Commitment to Art" brings together two of Spain's most prestigious private collections—the ABANCA Art Collection and the Fundación Bancaja Collection—to create a unique dialogue between historical avant-garde and contemporary movements.
The journey spans from 1913 to 2023, showcasing a diverse range of masterpieces from international icons and Spanish greats. Visitors can view works by Joan Miró, Miquel Barceló, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Wassily Kandinsky, Juan Gris, Paul Klee, and Max Ernst. The contemporary section highlights the continued vitality of the Spanish art scene with pieces by Manolo Valdés, Cristina Iglesias, and Miquel Navarro.
Curated by Fernando Castro Flórez, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see how the "commitment to art" has shifted from the revolutionary experiments of the early 1900s to the monumental expressions of today.
