Event Description:
Marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Julio González, the IVAM presents a major retrospective focused on the representation of the female figure in his work. Curated by Brigitte Léal, the exhibition brings together 148 pieces, ranging from his early drawings and academic paintings to the revolutionary iron sculptures that defined modern art. The collection highlights his transformation of metal into "drawings in space" and explores his various depictions of women, including his famous "Cactus People" and his powerful symbols of maternal resistance.

By Bus (EMT Valencia)

- From the Main Bus Station: It is a 7-minute walk across the Puente de las Artes (Arts Bridge).
By Bike (Valenbisi)
There is a Valenbisi public bike station located directly in front of the museum and another nearby on Calle Corona.
By Foot
The museum is situated at the edge of the El Carmen district and is easily accessible via the Turia Gardens park, crossing at the Puente de las Artes.
By Car
The museum does not have private parking. The nearest public car parks are at Nuevo Centro (800m away) or the Avenida del Oeste parking garage (10-minute walk).
