Valencia Art + Design Walks

Valencia has emerged as an epicenter of art and design following its designation as "World Design Capital" in 2022 and as a "City of Design" by UNESCO in 2023. It is from this context that Turiart is launching a unique and cutting-edge cultural experience in partnership with LAVAC (Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community) and in collaboration with the Valencian Community Design Foundation .

Discover and experience contemporary art and design by strolling through the streets of Valencia. A new cultural leisure activity in the city, allowing you to explore its most captivating spaces with expert artistic guides.

With the aim of inviting residents and visitors to explore the city from a different perspective, "València Art & Design Walks" was created as an innovative proposal of tourist routes that merges contemporary art, avant-garde architecture and design through the lesser-known but equally captivating corners of Valencia.

"Valencia Art & Design Walks" is a new cultural leisure initiative open to the public, offering a fresh and avant-garde perspective on Valencia. These walks are designed to explore art and design through the city's streets and contemporary art galleries, led by passionate artists dedicated to conveying Valencia's creative essence. Participants will also have the opportunity for exclusive encounters with local artists and creators, immersing them in Valencia's contemporary culture.

What do we offer?

• Guided walks : These tours, led by specialized artistic interpreters, will last two hours and are scheduled for Thursday and Friday afternoons. They will be offered in Spanish and/or English , with plans to expand to other languages ​​in the future.
• Explore urban art and some of the best contemporary art galleries in Valencia with expert guides in art and design.
• Encounters with artists : learning about the Valencian creative world through exclusive dialogues with local artists and creators.
• Gift : the route will include a gift of a quality Valencian product and design (e.g., a tasting, a local gourmet product or some object)  to complete the artistic experience.

What did we visit?

• Art galleries : Some of the most representative of the contemporary Valencian scene such as Galería Cuatro, Galería Benlliure, Alba Cabrera, Ana Serratosa, Set Espai D'Art, Galeria Thema, Vangar or Luis Adelantado.
• Design spaces:  selected by the Design Foundation from among those premises, shops or restaurants whose design is especially outstanding, such as the Espai Guastavino of the CTAV, the Colón Market, the Garden of the Hesperides, Gnomo Ruzafa or Pelayo Gastro Trinquet.

Meeting point / address: The exact  Valencia City location will always be provided 24 hours in advance, as it may vary depending on the route.

Each visit will be unique in its configuration so that the experience is different every time.
