Great Maritime Medieval Fair 2026

 

Experience the magic of the Middle Ages as the seafront of Poblats Marítims transforms into a sprawling medieval festival. This year’s fair celebrates "Mig Any" with a vibrant mix of 70 craft stalls, historical reenactments, and the colorful tradition of the Moors and Christians.

Festival Highlights

  • Medieval Market: Browse 70 food and craft stalls featuring traditional workshops.
  • Live Entertainment: Performances by the Sabaya Oriental Dance Company, the Catracha War Band, and traditional Spanish marching bands.
  • Historical Pageantry: Witness the 17th Children’s Moorish-Christian Procession, featuring pageantry, ballet, and traditional squads.
  • Intercultural Gathering: A unique celebration featuring cultural performances from Bolivia, Honduras, and Spain.

  • 7:15 PM – 10:00 PM: Medieval market and stalls.

 

Saturday, 18 April

  • 11:00 AM: Market opens.
  • 6:00 PM: Children’s Parade gathering and appointments.
  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Live music and Oriental Dance performances.
  • 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Historical reenactment and live music.

 

Sunday, 19 April

  • 11:15 AM: Arrival of the squads with Moorish and Christian marches.
  • 12:00 PM: The 17th Children’s Moorish-Christian Procession.
  • 1:00 PM: Intercultural gathering (Bolivia, Honduras, and Spain).
  • 10:00 PM: Festival close.

 

Travel Tip: The fair is located along the seafront promenade. Use Tram Line 4 or 6 (stop: Les Arenes or Platja Malva-rosa) for easy access from the city centre.
