Walking Tour of the City of Arts and Sciences
About this event
If you like architecture, you can't miss this tour of the City of Arts and Sciences , where we will see the exterior of the main buildings of this great cultural complex in Valencia , located in the old Turia riverbed.
We'll meet at the designated time at the entrance of CaixaForum Valencia , located in the L'Agora building , from where we'll begin our tour of the City of Arts and Sciences . Ready to discover one of Valencia's most iconic landmarks?
Throughout the tour, we will admire the main areas of this complex from the outside, designed by the prestigious architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela . First, we will visit the Umbracle garden and cross the Assut de l'Or Bridge .
This walkway connects two of the most futuristic buildings in the entire complex: the Agora , which houses the CaixaForum Valencia museum , and the Oceanogràfic , the largest aquarium in Europe.
We'll continue our tour by visiting the lobby of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum , whose architecture is inspired by a dinosaur skeleton . Amazing, isn't it?
We'll also admire the Hemisfèric 's curious eye-shaped design , which houses an IMAX 3D cinema. Our next stop will be in front of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía , home to Valencia's opera house.
Finally, after a two-hour tour, we will conclude the tour in the Rose Garden , where we will enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the City of Arts and Sciences.
