In a 13th-century underground wine cellar—right in the center of Valencia—an experience that blends history and flavor awaits you: "Vermouth Time."
It consists of a guided tour of Celler de Proava and a tasting of three or five vermouths made in the Valencian Community.
Each one has its own character and history, and as you taste them, the guide will tell you interesting facts about how they're made and what makes them so special.
All accompanied by snacks—potatoes, breadsticks, olives—and a pairing of cheeses, cured meats, and desserts that changes with each session.
No two tastings are the same, and that's part of their charm.
This activity is hosted by Valsangiacomo and Tarongino, two leading wineries in the region.
